We’re only a few months in to 2016, but this year has already been a banner one for Charlotte Dellal: Her kitschy-cool accessories label, Charlotte Olympia, held its debut runway show in February at London Fashion Week, then released its very own collaboration with MAC Cosmetics just a few weeks later.
The 21-piece makeup collection stems not only from the brand’s immense popularity (surely you recall those cat flats and book clutches that were so ubiquitous not too long ago) but also its founder’s unique affinity for beauty. Dellal is never without her signature fiery red lips or perfectly coiffed pinup-girl waves, which made us wonder: How does she manage to always look so pulled together when she’s juggling a jam-packed schedule filled with collection releases, fashion parties, and red-carpet events?
We went straight to the source for some answers, and it turns out French skin-care staples, boxing, and more than a couple red lipsticks are involved. Read on to learn all of Dellal’s beauty secrets.

The first thing I do in the morning is:
Pick the shoes I’m going to wear. I believe that you can determine the day ahead by the shoes you choose to wear in the morning. If I know I have a busy day running around with my boys, I’ll wear a pair of flats, but if I feel like conquering the world, I’ll reach for my highest heels!
My everyday skin-care routine includes:
I start by cleaning my face with Bioderma Crealine H20 to remove all traces of dirt, then I use Éminence cleanser. Konjac heart-shaped cleansing sponges not only look pretty but have replaced cotton wool pads completely. Sisley’s All Day All Year face cream, Nutritive lip balm, and eye cream complete my routine.
My go-to five-minute beauty routine includes:
Red lipstick. It instantly makes me feel glamorous regardless of what I’m wearing. On an everyday basis, I don’t feel the need to wear anything else unless I’m going out for the evening.
My favorite cocktail is:
A whiskey sour, without a doubt.
My favorite meal in the world is:
Nothing beats my mother-in-law’s Khoresht-e Karafs. She is Iranian and cooks the most amazing Persian feast.
My favorite way to work out is:
Boxing. I go to Box Clever Sports on Ladbroke Grove three times a week. It’s a great workout, and I love that I’m learning a skill at the same time.

Red. It goes with everything and anything and instantly makes me feel glamorous.

My collaboration with MAC includes all my must-have beauty products: three red lipsticks, sepia and gold cream shadows, a couple of red nail varnishes, a white varnish to create a half-moon manicure, brown mascara, liquid liner, and an iridescent pigment powder, to name just a few. They are the great items to have in your makeup bag to create a glamorous look, whether it’s one shoulder prom dresses uk up or down.
My favorite thing about my job is:
I have always wanted to design and create, so I’m lucky to have turned my passion into a business.
The best beauty tip I’ve ever received is:
My mother always taught me to look after my skin. I never go to bed without cleansing and moisturizing my face, no matter how tired I am.
