A health project for adolescents are trying to grab the attention of teens by putting prom white cocktail dresses made of condoms on display.
As young high schoolers take to their local mall in Omaha, Nebraska, in search of outfits for their upcoming prom night, some will be confronted with a very literal interpretation of a prom night stereotype.
In order to bring attention to the dangers of unprotected sex, the Adolescent Health Project & the Women's Fund of Omaha have teamed up to create a series of prom dresses created out of condoms and having them places in displays at dress shops.

If any curious teens approach the colorful, rubber-covered creations, they will be welcomed by a tag which, rather than a price, contains a warning.
'Being safe is always in style. Avoid sexually transmitted diseases and unintended pregnancies.' they say.
The warnings are meant to contain a 'price' of their own: the potential cost of unsafe sex.
'This is a great opportunity for us to reach teens and their parents in an unexpected way before prom, and get the message out to think twice before having unprotected sex, because it can lead to multiple health risks or even a baby,' said Gary Mueller, Creative Director of SERVE, a non-profit ad agency assisting with the campaign, told WOWT.
Designs with an agenda: The condom dresses were created as a team project between the Adolescent Health Project & the Women's Fund of Omaha
The project aims to target not just prom-goers, but also other younger people who are most at risk to become a statistic in the Douglas County area of Omaha - which has some of the highest STD rates in the country.
'This message is for all adolescents because in Douglas County the 15 to 24 age group accounts for more than 50 percent of all new STD cases in this county,' Brenda Council of the Adolescent Health Project told KMTV.
Each of the designs feature dozens of condoms of various colors tied together to drape down the forms of the mannequins they are displayed on.

The project comes two years after Brazilian artist Adriana Bertini showed off her own series of 'Condom Couture' at the International AIDS conference in Melbourne.
The dresses are due to go on display at Cinderella's Formal Dress Rental at the Crossroads Mall as well as at Hello Holiday in Dundee.
Every week, a new condom creation will go on display at the locations.
